Lucy Nethsingha is the Liberal Democrat group's leader on the Cambridgeshire county council.
A primary school teacher by profession, Lucy specialises in supporting children struggling with literacy. Before training as a teacher, Lucy worked in the NHS for two years.
Lucy says: "As group leader on the county council, I'm familiar with the issues facing South East Cambridgeshire, from the lack of public transport to the underfunding of our schools. As a working mum, I understand the challenges facing families in our county.
The rapid growth of South East Cambridgeshire, often to support commuters to Cambridge, creates a number of problems, from transport to schools.
We need to ensure that all parts of South East Cambridgeshire are protected from the problems created by leaving the EU. Farming, jobs and the income of many residents in South East Cambridgeshire are dependent on the EU and I will fight to protect them and the EU citizens contributing to our community."
